Sculpture

 

1.      Armature  -- A framework for supporting material used in sculpting

2.      Form -- Element of art that is three-dimensional

3.       Freestanding -- Work of art surrounded by negative space

4.      Kinetic sculpture -- A work of art that moves due to the forces of air currents and gravity

5.       Papier-mache -- Molding material made of newspaper and glue and molded over a supporting armature

6.       Plaster -- A substance made of lime, calcium sulfate, sand and water that hardens on drying

7.   Relief -- A type of sculpture in which form projects from a background

8.      Sculpture -- 3-d work of art created out of various materials by carving, welding, or modeling

9.      Space -- Element of art referring to the area between, around, above, below, or within objects

10.      Subtractive sculpture -- Sculpture that is created by carving or chiseling away
